THE CHORDETTES ARE THE NEW 2011 INTERNATIONAL BRONZE MEDALISTS!

The Chordettes win the International Bronze medal at the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers International Convention
in Galway, Ireland. The girls gave an outstanding peformance and wowed the audience with their new vibrant sound!

'The Chordettes' is the stage name of our chorus, the Teignmouth Ladies Close Harmony Singers. We are a group of ladies of all ages from 15 years old and upward, who get together to sing barbershop!

We were formed in 1974 and are one of the founder clubs in the Ladies Association of Barbershop Singers (LABBS). We enjoy singing together both for fun and for competiton.

We won the British Ladies Barbershop Championships in 1992 and represented Britain in America the following year. In 2005 we came top of Division 2 in the British Ladies Babershop Championships to win the Peter Caller Trophy and we claimed the 'Most Improved Chorus' trophy in 2008.

In 2009 we had the good fortune in finding and appointing an enthusiatic and talented Musical Director, Peter Nugent who has a successful background in Barbershop. We are working together to achieve high standards in our repertoire and for our annual competition where we are continually striving to improve our performance.

We advertise ourselves as a group who are available to sing at venues and functions as a way of raising funds and as an added forum for our singing!

We currently have around 40 members who are are actively involved in singing, social and fund raising activities.
